On clear nights, you watch the aurora from a warm cedar cabin with panoramic windows, a fireplace, and hot drinks deep in Alaska's interior. If clouds move in, your guide Michael—a native Alaskan with 20+ years of experience—takes your group mobile to chase clear skies. No other private tour in Fairbanks offers this flexibility.

Meeting and Pickup
ITINERARY Stop 1: Hotel Pickup in Fairbanks Michael picks up your group from your Fairbanks hotel or Airbnb. Timing is flexible for private tours—we’ll coordinate a departure time that works for your group based on aurora forecasts and your schedule. For accommodations outside downtown, meet at Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center. Stop 2: Scenic Drive into the Alaskan Interior Leave the city lights behind as you drive through dark spruce forests and open valleys into some of the darkest, most aurora-active skies in North America. The drive is part of the experience. Stop 3: Private Aurora Viewing at the Wilderness Lodge The space is yours. Settle in by the fire, explore the night sky with Michael, and enjoy the aurora at whatever pace feels right. On clear nights, your viewing session runs as long as you like with full freedom to move between the warm interior and the open sky. If clouds develop, Michael takes your group mobile to find clear skies. Duration: Flexible based on your group’s preferences and aurora activity Stop 4: Return to Fairbanks Drop-off at your hotel. Return time is flexible based on the night’s aurora activity and your group’s preferences.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / KNOW BEFORE YOU GO • Minimum 2 guests required. If a different night looks better, we’ll let you know • Aurora sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed. The lodge is a warm cedar cabin with panoramic windows, a fireplace, hot drinks, snacks, and a clean restroom—set in a dark-sky location where the northern lights appear directly overhead.
