What To Expect
Hit the water for some exciting Bonaire fishing with Calypso Charters. Whether it's your first time or you’ve been sport fishing for years, the father-son team of Captain Hagen and Florian will make sure you have a great time.
Get comfortable onboard our 28′ Mako Center Console and puts you close to all the action. Our boat is fast and stable, providing a comfortable ride. It has the amenities serious fishing demands, including a live bait well and iced fish lockers to keep the catch fresh.
Bonaire's underwater topography makes great fishing possible almost anywhere, from just off the coast to the deep blue. Trolling, jigging, and deep drops are all on the agenda. We can even head out to one of the FADs (fish attraction devices) where the yellow-fin tuna and billfish like to hunt. We’ve fished the island for decades and know the best spots to go.
Also…we bring plenty of cold drinks and tasty sandwiches on every fishing charter. Because, hey…you can’t fish on an empty stomach.
Our fishing ethos is respect for the sea and its marine life. All billfish are released. If you want a portion of any other catch, we are happy to clean, fillet, and package it for you.

Yes. Whatever the fishing calls for: live bait, frozen bait, cut bait, or chum, our Charter Captains will have plentiful supplies on hand. The same thing goes for artificial bait such as lures, flies, or plugs.
Jul 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the adventure start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the adventure start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the adventure start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the adventure local time (AST).
