What To Expect
Macarons are one of those things that look almost too beautiful to eat. In this class you will learn to make them from scratch and then make them even more beautiful yourself. Chef Fanny, an esteemed Parisian pastry chef, will show you exactly how.
You will start by mastering the technique behind proper macaron shells, combining almond flour and egg whites into a meringue-like batter before piping, baking and filling them with chocolate and fruity fillings that taste every bit as good as the ones in the patisserie windows. Then comes the part that sets this class apart: painting your macarons. With Chef Fanny's guidance you will transform your creations into something genuinely original, the kind of edible art that makes for a perfect Parisian souvenir, a thoughtful gift or simply a very good story to bring home.
