Our experienced guides lead small groups above, and beneath, Pioneer Square to the street level that existed in the 1890s. Explore underground pathways that were built more than 120 years ago, learning details on early Seattle history, why these spaces were built, and how they have been used (and misused) over the years. Marvel at how this former tidal flat has since transformed into one of the 20 largest cities in the United States.

Street parking is your least expensive option; you’ll want to put at least 90 minutes on the meter.
Nov 2023We certainly welcome children on our tours, however they may have trouble paying attention to a one hour history tour.
Oct 2022Yes! Beneath the Streets™ offers a unique exploration of Pioneer Square’s hidden underground passageways. Launched in 2013, our tours feature newly accessible spaces that have never been included in previous underground tours.
Mar 2021Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the buildings, the tour is not ADA-accessible. There are six flights of stairs and no elevator access.
Strollers can either be carried up and down stairs or stored at our ticket office for the duration of the tour.
Sep 2023No. We do not cover any of the neighborhood’s haunted history.
Aug 2024Due to our lease agreements, only certified service animals are permitted in the underground areas of our tour.
