Make Valencian 'Pizza' in Ruzafa
Overview
Coca is like a Valencian Pizza, made with a thin and crispy beer pastry. Let me teach you how to make this tasty local delicacy and you can make it again back home to remind you of your trip. It's a naturally vegan recipe. I choose the seasonal vegetables in the local market to make the toppings with.
The ingredients for the salad and fruit desert will also be bought at Ruzafa market. In the summer we can make sorbets and fruit salads, in the winter fruit puddings. This experience is a joy to the senses and an insight into the local culture.

What To Expect

We'll wash our hands and get our aprons on to start cooking.
We’ll prepare a local Vermut aperitivo and try it while making the local dish coca.
Coca is a Valencian style ‘pizza’ made with a typical beer dough. The coca is naturally vegan and topped with seasonal vegetables.
While the coca is in the oven we’ll prepare a seasonal salad and a simple fresh fruit dessert.
We'll all sit down around the table and eat the meal we prepared together with local beer or wine to enjoy the food and each others company in the beautiful unique setting. We can talk about all the gorgeous seasonal produce available in Valencia, the great places to eat and drink here, the history of Valencian cuisine and anything else that takes our interest! Hopefully we can make friends by bonding through cooking together. It is a joy hosting these tasty 0km experiences for your pleasure.
