On the eastern shoreline of Lake Champlain that forms the border between Vermont and New York State to the west, Burlington is the most-populous city in Vermont. The site was initially settled in 1775, but the Revolutionary War delayed the establishment of the town until 1785. Famed as the birthplace Revolutionary War hero Ethan Allen, whose former homestead is now a museum, Burlington has a historic downtown that has been transformed into a pedestrian mall called the Church Street Market Place. Other attractions include a waterfront walking path, summer bike ferries to the Lake Champlain Islands, sailing and kayaking, and brewery tours that include the East Coast’s third-oldest brewpub.

It was just my party of 3 and Captain Cory. “Buttercup” was our boat and she the perfect vessel for our excursion; comfortable, clean, quiet and just a good vibe. Besides the incredible natural beauty of Lake Champlain, it was Captain Cory who made the whole trip memorable! Versed with facts, trivia and jokes plus an obvious passion for what he does, Captain Cory made the whole adventure an amazing 2 hours!
