About an hour and a half north of the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Area, on Florida’s Nature Coast, the small town of Crystal River is home to one of America’s top natural wonders. The town is built around Kings Bay, a body of water fed by a cluster of 50 natural springs that discharge about 64 million gallons of crystal-clear water every day. The Bay is winter home to over 400 manatees, and is the only place in the U.S. where humans can legally interact with these gentle vegetarian giants in their natural habitat. We took our 11 year-old grandson on his first airboat ride and he LOVED it! Captain Paul took us to see the spider monkeys on Monkey Island and then we leisurely traversed the river along with many other boats heading out for the day before we put on our noise reducing headsets and FLEW across the water in an exhilarating ride out to the Gulf of America!! We highly recommend PT Airboat Adventures!

Our guide Shana and Captain Brody were wonderful. I will ask for them if we ever make our way back here. They found us a mother and calf to float above. When the mother and calf started swimming by we all followed the rules we were taught about not interfering with the manatees natural behaviors. They both brushed against me and one other in our group as the went by. This was unexpected and a great memorable experience. They were the only manatees we spotted but July is not a great month for this type of adventure. We will book again when the gulf is colder. If you are coming to Crystal Spring check out this Manatee swim tour and ask for Shana and Brody.

Justin was an outstanding kayak tour guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. He took the time to point out wildlife, shared interesting facts about the area, and kept the group comfortable and engaged throughout the tour. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that made the trip even better. If you’re looking for a great kayaking experience, I highly recommend requesting Justin as your guide!

We came to visit our family from NJ and took the tour yesterday. From start to finish I could not stop smiling. Emerson and Shawn made everything so fun and simple. We got to see a momma manatee with her baby, the springs, and some hidden gems. I couldn’t recommend booking this adventure enough! I am taking how so many wonderful memories!

My husband and I had a delightful 2 hour boat ride in Crystal River with our little poodle. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to be on a boat taking in the cool breeze in hot July. Melissa was a great capitan and guide and shared many interesting details of Crystal River and gave us some great tips on nearby restaurants. I would definitely recommend this tour for others on vacation in the area.

Great Customer Service!
When I booked this, for some reason, I thought it was a dolphin tour. I brought my 14 year old niece to see dolphins. When I explained my obvious mistake to the Captain, he started texting his fellow Captain friends to see if any of them had seen dolphins. We didn't see any, but I appreciated his efforts. It was a nice, relaxing tour nonetheless and my niece was excited that she got to see turtles.

Best tour of our stay
Kaceys Custom Adventures Crystal River: Three Sisters Manatee Clear Kayak Tour with Free Photos was by far the best tour of our trip. You should be somewhat knowledgeable about kayaking; however real experience is not required. Kyle (who just completed his doctorate-so proud of him) gave us an excellent safety briefing before our tour. Our family was a group of seven and two others joined us. Kaitlyn was tandem with me, so thankful because I was able to more enjoy the experience with her doing the navigation. We were told up front that manatees do not stay at Three Sisters during summer months and we did not see one. The experience at the Springs, however, was fantastic. We snorkeled (gear provided) the perfectly clear water and I was able to see all three springs with minimal swimming from one to the other. Besides the extremely excellent care that Kyle and Kaitlyn took of us, they also snapped pictures of our experience. A link to the digital pictures are texted at NO additional cost. There are lots of pictures and they are excellent. I highly recommend Kaceys Custom Adventures Crystal River: Three Sisters Manatee Clear Kayak Tour with Free Photos.
