Cajas national park was lovely and worth the trip. It can be cold, windy and rainy so dress accordingly! Edison was a great guide, he took very good care of us and was knowledgeable about all things related to Cuenca and the surrounding areas. We had a private bus pick us up at our hotel. Our guide, Pam, was welcoming and fun and taught my family so much. The driver Ivan was very capable and affable and navigated the traffic of Quito and the rough roads of Cotopaxi well. We had a fantastic day on the mountain. The weather was windy and wonderful. Had hot choc at the refuge. Would recommend to anyone that can take the altitude.

Lovely day out
This was a lovely day out with a superb guide Luis! We visited a little bird place, fed the hummingbirds and saw lots of different birds. Luis then took us to Mindo, a very interesting town which we had the opportunity to walk through/shop. Then onto the cloud forest where we took the full hike to see all the waterfalls, we swam in one! The walk probably took a couple of hours and is not easy but fun. Our guide told us so much about the flora. The cable car was an experience! After this, we visited a chocolate experience in Mindo which was very interesting and lots of chocolate to taste (an additional cost). I would 100% recommend this tour, especially with Luis.
