The walking food tour of Reykjavik was a fantastic first tour. You get to know the city a bit while trying all fantastic foods! Freys was a fantastic guide to take us to all the delicious foods! He was also able to give us some lovely background having grown up in Iceland. The small group tour was perfect to meet others, but not too crowded. Lastly, come hungry! There is a lot of delicious food you will consume.

Enjoyable time!
Perlan was one of our favorite attractions in Reykjavík! The exhibits are interactive, informative, and beautifully done. My favorite was the virtual reality experience that takes you inside a volcano—it was incredibly realistic and the highlight of our visit. We also loved the ice cave, the Northern Lights show, and the amazing views from the observation deck. Definitely worth a visit!

Impressive enough to merit a second visit
We were advised to visit the impressive Harpa Concert Hall, which would be a fine place to attend a concert, and we browsed in the souvenir shop, before being tempted downstairs to try the Volcano Express. There are shows every 20 minutes or so and, if you have to wait. the instructive display in the foyer is fascinating, with a chance to take a memento photograph. The Express itself is in a small theatre where one is strapped into one's seat to experience a combination of dynamic visuals, sounds, hot air and vibration that gives some slight idea of what a volcano means to Icelanders and its physical impact. It is very theatrical but was so much fun that one of us insisted on a second visit before we left Iceland, and the other did not object. Highly recommended as an experience for any visitor to Reykjavik.
