If you are lucky enough to visit the Faroe Islands, let Heimdal tours introduce you to the island. They are knowledgeable, organized, and very friendly. We spent four days on the island, and they introduced us to so many beautiful areas. Tummas and Anita are wonderful ambassadors of the island- 10/10 would use them again!!

I and my friends have visited Faroe island during June,16-19 ,2026 and have visited many places on Sandoy, Bordoy, Kalsoy, Vidoy, Streymoy, Eysturoy and Vagar islands. Alll have very stunning scenery. Green hills, water falls and varius types of cliffs are remarkable views. I enjoy hiking in the fresh air atmosphere with the kinds and cheerful tour guides(Helele, Borgfrio and Andras). They are very kind and well prepared , take care our team (very senior group) very, very well. Folktale stories told by them, unique cultures as well as welcoming local peoples made the trips more impressive and memorable.

Our Sudaroy trip was quite memorable with our guide Anita. Heimdal Tours is definitely one of the most reliable and well organized companies with whom we have ever traveled. We were so impressed with everything about this small, family oriented company. We were shown so many of the Faroe Islands breathtaking sites. We look forward so very much to traveling with Heimdal Tours again for our day tours.

Wonderful tour. The boat trip was the highlight--but bring hat and mitts, even in summer! It would have been great to line up for the boat a little earlier to get an outdoor seat on the boat, but otherwise it was great. Pickup at hotel was easy and convenient. We had the weather on our side, which was lovely. Disappointed we didn't see any puffins, but that can't exactly be guaranteed!

Knowledgeable and friendly guide and wonderful way to spend short time in the area. The morning started off poorly with the Top10Adventures® given directions and map pin meeting point inaccuracy. Luckily, we were able to get help from Fia at Hotel Hafnia (beautiful hotel if you are looking for a place to stay) to get redirected to correct location that we passed on our way from the cruise ship. Luckily, we were early and didn't get left behind. Ended up being a wonderful day with magical views, nice boat ride with great up-close views of the cliffs and a spectacular lunch with local hosts. (Amazing rhubarb cake dessert!!) The experience seemed a little overpriced, but worked well for us, but no regrets and really nice to have been in a small group setting for the day.

Loved this tour. Very nice guide and saw beautiful sights. She took us to a local fish market for fish & chips. The food was very fresh and delicious.

There is only one word to describe the tour (and the Faroe Islands): Beyond. The tour and the guides was beyond fantastic with beyond beautiful singing in the Saint Olav’s Church in Kirkjubøur and beyond fun Faroese chain dance. Also a lot of good and interesting stories and information about the Faroe Islands and the fantastic places we visited on the tour. And a great lunch too at a beyond cosy café.All in all a beyond fantastic tour to Sandoy with the best guides ever that really loved being guides for the very fortunate attendees on this tour. 😊

Wonderful day in a cozy little group. We visited incredibly beautiful places and our guide told us a lot about the history of the Faroe Islands. We also saw puffins.

Kristina was the perfect host for our visit, a local with special knowledge of the history and sense of this very special place.

Our Mykines Private Hike and Tour Adventure booked with Experience Faroe Islands was fantastic. A great tour starts with a great guide and our guide, Hans was wonderful. Patient & kind, Hans was also very knowledgeable and eager to share all things Faroe Islands. As a native Faroese, Hans embodied the spirit of the islands. Pickup from Hotel Hafnia was prompt at 12:15 (the morning ferry was fully booked). We were able to book the 1:30 ferry. The drive to the Vágar Island ferry terminal provided views of the stunning Faroe countryside. We passed by deep fiords and high cliffs with waterfalls cascading down to form streams which lead to the fiords. Ferry ride to Mykines was 45 minutes and pretty smooth. I’m prone to seasickness but did not suffer on either trip. Along the way we saw towering sea stacks, dramatic rock formations & more waterfalls. From the Mykines ferry terminal we climbed stairs and walked through the old village. There is a free public toilet in the village center. We began the ascent to the puffin colony following the milder incline along a ridge. On the way we saw more spectacular views of Mykines and the surrounding coast. The hills have many grazing Faroese sheep which climb to great heights. Shepherds have dangerous work gathering them. When we reached the puffin colony it was well worth the hike. Hundreds of nesting puffins, many were only a few feet away. We were advised to stay 6 ft away from the puffins and not to enter their burrow nest areas. It was a great experience standing in such close proximity to the little guys. My wife took many photos and she was extremely happy. We walked a short distance further to a memorial plaque. From there we had the option to hike further up to the viewpoint and chance to see even more puffins. My son with autism had anxieties about further climbing so we chose to walk down the return route to the village. This route was more steep than the ascent but we managed. We enjoyed Katrin’s fish soup in the cafe and returned to the ferry terminal. The 6:15 ferry (last of the day) returned us to Vagar just after 7 and Hans returned us to the Hafnia around 8 pm. This tour gave our family a lifetime of great memories. I highly recommend it.Footnote: Hans returned to our hotel to to give our son a Faroese mountain rock from his personal collection. What a kind gesture. Thank you, Hans

Pleased with how well the app worked, the historical information was very interesting. It's not too demanding a tour, Klaksvik is fairly flat.

Klaksvík is now one of my favorite towns in the Faroe Islands. The natural setting is beautiful and if you are able to be there at golden hour the light is amazing. The tour gave interesting information I would not have otherwise known.

We went to the Faroes from Iceland in early June and had planned to rent a car for our six days there. We had pre-booked the Kalsoy Island tour with Guide to the Faroes because it seemed getting the car on the ferry might be problematic. As it turned out, all car rentals were cancelled in the Faroes because of a national strike that limited petrol. To make the most of this difficult situation we proceeded with the Kalsoy tour and added their all day "See It All" tour. Both were excellent and we basically got to see everything we had hoped to see in the two tours. Many thanks to tour co-ordinator Joan-Heidi who got us back to Torshavn from Kalsoy after taxis had stopped running that day and to Elsa Maria who was absolutely superb as a driver and guide on the all day tour. She was very personable and informative and we couldn't believe how much we covered in one day. Hogni of Guide to Faroes was extremely helpful in helping us adjust our plans and work around the dislocation of the strike. Many thanks to all -- when we had heard of the strike the day before leaving from Iceland we thought of cancelling but had already pre-paid hotels. We are so glad we stuck with the plan and took in the Faroes.
