Best Whale Watching Experience Ever!!!

We had an absolutely amazing whale watching experience today with Prince of Whales Whale Watching Adventures. The two naturalists on board that we heard from were Reid and Andrei . There was also another one, but we weren’t seated near her. Reid was an intelligent interesting guide with lots of information about a variety of sea life. She knew her orcas and I learned a lot from her talks. Andrei was an exceptional photographer. Unbelievably every photo he took with his huge camera was shared with the passengers for no extra cost. We’ve done whale watching in other places before, but have never been offered free photos before. His pictures were so much better than ours could ever be. If you’re looking for a way to learn about nature and have an adventure, I highly recommend checking them out. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Best tour ever!

We had the best time during our tour! Our guide, Logan, gave us so much valuable information about the wildlife of the Area. What started out as a misty day, turned into one of the best experiences of our lives. Not only did we see several orkas, we also saw a male orka jump while they were hunting a seal. We also saw bald eagles, seller sealions, a jellyfish and the beauty of nature itself! Best decision ever!

Brilliant afternoon! Highly recommend!

From the start, the crew were welcoming, happy and ready to go. Capt Valerie was an outstanding captain and followed to set rules for distance and area to a tee! We were on top so Connor was our Naturalist and he was extremely knowledgeable, VERY aware of his surrounding and of the wildlife and hard set rules (Kennedy was in the main cabin adn we heard she was awesome as well).We saw 15 Orcas, 2 Humpbacks, 2 Porpoise, 1 Sea Lion... Absolutely fantastic afternoon AND it was a beautiful day as well!

Great time!

Amazing experience! Got to see orcas, seals, and sea lions from an open boat on the water. It is good value for the money and you get 3-5 hours out on the water. The tour guides were super friendly, and the open boat provided a fun and fast experience when going against the waves. I would recommend the open boat for an adventurous date or adults, but if you have a little one I'd opt for a closed boat.

This was a really fun way to see a bit of downtown Victoria. Our guide, Asher, was friendly and delivered the stories with the appropriate spooky theatrics. Some of the stories were pretty gruesome (e.g. the failed hanging of a convicted murderer). Our 11-year-old has seen some horror movies and enjoyed the tour, but it might be a bit much for some kids.

Fun and spooky storytelling, a great way to spend an hour

The highlight of the tour was our guide, Brynne! She made Ghost Walk #1 (the classic) so much fun that my friend and I booked a different tour for the next day and we were lucky enough to have Brynne as our guide again. Sadly, our time in Victoria was short or else we would have joined every Ghost Walk available. Brynne was just that great of a storyteller. History can seem very dry but with guides like Brynne it’s less of a classroom and more of a walking performance of local history. She is also very good looking and oozes charisma. Maybe I’m just saying that because she complimented my outrageous tiger cardigan.It was great to walk through and experience the local history with a spooky slant. I would definitely recommend booking a tour after dark as that ups the “ooh” factor. While it is hard to walk through downtown Victoria during tourist season, the size of our group was able to stick together and make it through the crowds easily since the guide knew the area so well. It was a great non-expensive way to enjoy the area as well a good resource to get information on local businesses. We may or may not have visited a few shops and restaurants after the tour to satiate some morbid curiosity.
