What To Expect
Matacanes is famous for the impressive turquoise blue color of the water, the spectacular rappels through waterfalls, the exciting and numerous jumps into the water and the underground tunnels that gave the route its name.
We meet at the Aventureros offices at 4:30 AM, from there we leave for Potrero Redondo in the assigned vehicles. Upon arrival we put on the necessary equipment for the descent of the Matacanes canyon and we will receive safety instructions. After a light breakfast we will start the walk.
45 minutes later we arrived at the mouth of the canyon. We descend the first 27 meter high waterfall by rappelling. Once inside the canyon, waterfalls that fall into turquoise pools, small cascades and showers where you cannot miss a good photograph, appear as we pass, from less to more. In addition to caves and rappels that continue to invite us to explore.
At the end of the tour, transport awaits us again. This will lead us to enjoy our well-deserved food. Here the whole group shares experiences and anecdotes of the tour.
