Our family of four booked a lesson with two instructors, and it was the perfect setup. While one of us caught a wave, the other instructor was already getting the next person into position, so there was very little downtime. The 1.5-hour lesson might sound short, but surfing is a surprisingly intense full-body workout. By the end, we were happily exhausted.My instructor, MJ, was fantastic. Positive, encouraging, and incredibly good at reading the waves, she offered just the right amount of coaching and technique adjustments while helping us conserve energy between rides. It was her mission was to get everyone standing—and she succeeded. All four of us were riding waves during our very first lesson.A tip for future beginners: spend a little time beforehand watching videos on the “pop-up” technique and maybe do a few planks or mountain climbers. You’ll get even more out of your lesson if those movements feel familiar, but don’t worry if you don’t, we all had success anyway.One unexpected highlight was the photography. We hadn’t planned on buying photos, but Nadine captured incredible images from the beach and even with a drone. The quality was so good that we happily bought the package, and those photos have become some of our favorite souvenirs.The only small improvement I’d suggest is sending a bit more arrival information beforehand. We weren’t sure where to park or what to expect, but they have secure parking, lockers, rash guards, and boards ready to go. Also, our lesson time shifted slightly closer to the date, which I assume was to match the best tide conditions. It was absolutely worth the flexibility.We’ve done a lot of amazing activities in Costa Rica, but this is the one I keep thinking about. Every time I remember that morning, I smile. I’d book with Surf Factory again in a heartbeat.

My experience was wonderful! If I ever come back I would definitely do it again. The staff was very nice and professional! They made you feel safe and had a whole lot of fun with them! The food and drinks were top tier! Awesome time! 10/10 recommend!!

Just finished our first white water rafting experience. Nicolas was our guide today, and we could not have been happier. We laughed and enjoyed the beauty of Costa Rica! It is a must do adventure while you are here. The food was great and everyone from the guides to the drivers were very professional and very friendly. They genuinely seemed to love their jobs!

We had a wonderful time with the zip line tour. The staff were friendly and made it more fun. There were 10 lines and we didn’t feel rushed. The location was beautiful and the staff were very focused on the safety of all guests. After we finished, they provided a delicious fresh fruit snack. We also took advantage of their pick up/ drop off at our hotel and they were on time and the bus was nicely air conditioned and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to others.

For my first time whitewater rafting, this was an absolutely amazing experience. The guides were wonderful; while they were certainly focused on safety, they also wanted to make sure we had a fun time. We ended up paddling about six miles through class II-IV rapids, which was really exhilarating. After rafting, we had a nice lunch at their restaurant. A terrific adventure overall!

Wonderful time with awesome instructors! Brian, Oscar, and Dan were very knowledgable and personable. Super friendly and willing to take the time to explain about items other than just the ziplines (fruit bats, toucans, local trees) So fun! Felt completely safe! Spider man all the way!

Awesome afternoon / sunset cruise! Can’t say enough about the hospitality, service and communication of the crew. BBQ lunch at the private beach was delicious and we enjoyed swimming and banana boat ride. Catamaran was comfortable and well maintained. Exceeded our expectations!

Wow! what a great sunset beach ride we had and a great tour guide! Horses are so beautiful and calm for a family ride! Highly recommend!

We had such an amazing experience! None of us have ridden a horse before, but all the horses seemed happy to have us. We walked down the beach at sunset and it was just magical. The guide was very friendly and clear with her instructions. She cared deeply for all the horses. She also took beautiful photos of us riding!

As beginners, we felt safe and had so much fun, thanks to our trainer "Jose". He was calm, patient, and a pro. Pura Vida!

The actual surfing was a great experience. My teenage daughter and her friend did the lessons and had an amazing time. The guides were knowledgable and helped them feel comfortable and able to get up on the waves. My only negative is they messaged us to arrive 30 minutes late due to the conditions, but still finished at the original time, so our two hour lesson was only an hour and a half. Overall we would do it again!

I was super nervous as this was my first time, but my instructor, Miguel, held my hand every step of the way to ensure I felt safe and supported. Nadine, the photog, took incredible footage of me and my board, capturing amazing moments and making me look pro!! Thanks to this wonderful team for this epic experience!! Pura vida!! 🤙🏼

This was an incredible activity to do in Costa Rica. Orlando was our guide and he was awesome. He asked our group what we were hoping for and was able to cater our experience to our preferences. Would definitely recommend this trip!

We had an amazing time on our rafting trip down the naranjo river. Orlando and Joshua were our guides, they were fun, friendly and made the trip so personalized! Our driver, Mario, was so cute and we loved learning about the various types of plants that grow in Costa Rica. Highly recommend!!!
