Alvaro showed us the canyon, it was indescribable! He has a lot of knowledge about the canyon and you can see his passion for nature.We started around 7am and were able to enjoy the magical silence of this beautiful place and observe countless birds. I would do the tour again at any time.We also received a very comfortable kayak and high-quality equipment from Alvaro, which made the tour all the more fun.

I have not finished my tour yet, but these 2 days have been fulfilling the itinerary, everything in time and form and the tours are great, previously we had already come with another agency, but passion X trips is better organized

very cool. Being on the river was the best part & incredible views, we saw crocodiles and monkeys of variety of birds. Was great. Not a fan of all the driving, but when leaving from San Cristobal classes. The driver was good, the guide was good, and a comfortable Van too.

Amazing trip! The first stop is the waterfall that is incredible, your tour guide takes lots of photos and allows you to go into the water! You can also zip line down the waterfall for an extra charge. The mango michelladas are a must! The lake sells really good authentic food and I highly recommend taking the wooden boat tour to the center island and jump off! We were able to stop by the Guatemala border before heading back to San Cristobal.

Started at 6:30 am got back about 11 pm in Tuxtla Gutierrez. The waters were beautiful. Can only swim at the end of the tour for the first waterfall. Best to change at that time not wear swimsuit throughout. Bring towel. At the lake, the wood log ride was neat to the island. Can jump off 6M jump into lake. Cenote isn’t anything special, Wouldn’t care to see it again. There are little snacks and places to eat at each stop. Overall good driver, informative tour guides and nice experience. Bring water and snacks!!

Super long bus ride but it is worth the drive for the amazing view of Chiapas!!However, the tour is missing the breakfast that was promised... In addition, even though we paid for english speaking tour, the driver did not know any english at all. We could not communicate with him AT ALL....We waited for our meal until 5pm when we were brought to a restaurant where we had to pay for our meals.Although the tour at the archeological site is english, all the other part of the tour was in spanish and we had difficulty communicating basic needs to the driver.

The views were super nice!! But as i paid for the english speaking tour, i was super disappointed when the driver did not know abit of english. i was not able to converse with him on the duration of each trip and the duration of the drive.Due to the cloudy weather, the group made some decisions to skip some stops while conversing in spanish. My wife and i were not aware of what was discussed.

The views were incredible!, my children took many photos, they went on the zip line, everything was incredible, the water was very clear, the guide was an excellent photographer

OVERVIEW: I would recommend this tour, but you need to know what you’re getting yourself in for. The car ride to Palenque is incredibly bumpy and takes approximately 5 hours. Not for the faint of heart! But that being said, Palenque is an incredibly special archaeological site, and this is really the best way to see it.If you’re nervous about the long driving day, your other options for seeing Palenque are to spend the night and drive back the next day, or take a public bus that is about 9 hours. For me, it was good to just have one really painful day and then get home and sleep.However! If you’re not willing to shell out for the official Palenque tour guide, this trip will not be worth your time. The drive is just too painful, and the self-guided materials at Palenque are limited. It’s worth it to get an official guide.DRIVER/TOUR GUIDE: The tour operator was really just a driver, not a tour guide. You will need to pay extra for a guide in Palenque. That being said, these guys are expert drivers and are really worth the money. The main highway through Ocosingo has many checkpoints and is periodically closed. We took a back road, which was likely less paved but safer.PALENQUE: We got the “long” tour in English for a group of 6, and we haggled it down to 400 pesos a person. Be aware that if your group is smaller you will pay more. The long tour is about 2 hours and will get you a guided tour of the main temples (Temple of Inscriptions, Temple of the Cross) as well as access to the outlying jungle. The long tour is the only way you will get access to the jungle trails, and in my opinion it was totally worth it. There will be more scrambling and climbing around roots, but if you’re in good physical shape it is not to be missed! You’ll feel like Indiana Jones for an hour, walking on top of ruins that have been overtaken by vines.MISCELLANEOUS: Bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer- it was about a 50/50 chance of finding stocked facilities. Earplugs are good if you want to snooze on the bus, because our driver blasted music the whole ride. Also watch for water bottles that have been refilled- do not buy if the seal around the cap is broken.

My partner and I purchased a package from Otisa that included transportation from Tuxtla Gutierez airport to San Cristobal de las casas, the Sumidero canyon and Chapa de Chorzo tour, and a private transfer to Palenque with stops in Misol Ha and Agua Azul. The honorable mention goes above all to Frida, the agency's operator, who was the first to respond to my requests regarding organization and reservations. She followed me step by step with attention, kindness and availability for several months from before our trip to Mexico while trying to figure out how to optimize our time in wonderful Chiapas. Even during the tours she made sure to understand if everything was going well. We were very happy to meet her and thank her in person at the end of our stay. Obviously these are group excursions so we know that the times are rather limited. I must say, however, that the organization proved to be perfect in our case. Punctual and precise with the timing, friendly and competent guides and drivers. The canyon is a truly spectacular place, breathtaking. The time on the vehicles is a lot because in Mexico the distances expand so much considering roads and topes, however in my opinion it is still proportionate to the time spent on the launch. Maybe I would have extended a little to Chapa de Chorzo but I don't feel like saying that we rushed. Another special thanks goes to Amadeus who accompanied us privately to Palenque on a long journey of more than 6 hours with stops in Misol Ha and Agua Azul. A nice, prudent, available person. He solved a small problem we had during the trip transport with the help of my companion, in a scrupulous and attentive way. He told us many things about his Chiapas and this was worth more than the digressions of any guide. Maybe a little more time to spend on the 2 sites in this case would have been appreciated, but it is also understandable to reduce it to allow the driver to safely face the long journey back to San Cristobal. The prices cannot be defined as low. But in Mexico no one gives anything away regarding excursions or experiences. However, I would say that they were absolutely money well spent. I absolutely recommend everyone to rely on Otisa to organize their trip to one of the most beautiful countries of the earth. Thanks Otisa, thanks Frida, thanks Amadeus! Manuela and Riccardo
